A leading UK-based retail organisation is seeking a Tax Accountant to join its finance team based in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business in a hands-on tax role with broad exposure across UK corporate taxes.
As Tax Accountant, you will be:
- Preparing and submitting corporation tax returns, including supporting computations and disclosures.
- Managing VAT compliance, including preparation and review of VAT returns.
- Supporting tax reporting for month-end and year-end processes.
- Assisting with tax audits and responding to information requests.
- Monitoring changes in tax legislation and assessing the impact on the business.
- Providing tax support to wider finance and commercial teams as required.
Requirements:
- ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Proven experience in corporation tax and VAT within industry or practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation.
- Ability to communicate tax matters clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
