Accounts & Canine Health Payable Manager – 3 Month Temporary Contract
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation for an Accounts & Canine Health Payable Manager to join their Business & Finance Services team on a 3‑month temporary assignment. This is a unique opportunity tobine strong accounts payable expertise with stakeholder management in a role that directly supports both financial operations and veterinary services.
The Role
1. Lead and coach a team of nine Accounts Payable staff, ensuring performance, development, and effective workload management
2. Oversee the accurate and timely processing of invoices, expenses, and payments, including veterinary suppliers
3. Manage payment runs, payroll, foreign currency, and ad hoc payments, optimising cashflow andpliance
4. Act as a systems super‑user, supporting platforms such as Salesforce, Coupa, and Accesspay, and ensuring reconciliations of key control accounts
5. Partner with finance and veterinary stakeholders to resolve queries, improve processes, and ensure adherence to policies and regulations
6. Deliver weekly management reporting and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procure‑to‑pay cycle
Candidate Profile
7. Proven experience in accounts payable management, ideally withinplex or multi‑stakeholder environments
8. Strong leadership skills with a track record of coaching and developing teams
9. Excellent systems knowledge (Salesforce, Coupa, Accesspay, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
10. Ability to manage reconciliations, reporting, andpliance with accuracy and attention to detail
11. Strongmunication skills and confidence in liaising with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders
