The Role As an Assistant Kennels Manager, you will assist in managing daily kennel operations, ensuring the welfare of all dogs, and supervising staff. You will be responsible for maintaining facilities, managing the budget, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and coordinating dog re-homing operations. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily kennel operations, ensuring they align with organisational standards. Ensure the well-being of dogs, including feeding, grooming, exercise, and medical care. Oversee kennel facility maintenance and manage equipment safety. Supervise staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Manage the kennel budget, process expenses, and maintain cost-effective operations. Implement and maintain health and safety protocols within the kennels. Manage supplier relationships for dog care supplies and services. Provide regular reports to the Kennels & Stables Manager on kennel status and well-being. Manage the dog re-homing process, including marketing, PR, and event organisation. Oversee the website, social media, and public liaison.
