The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a respected and well-established ground investigation and geotechnical consultancy in Manchester. This is a pivotal role for a technically strong and commercially aware engineer ready to step into a senior-level position, contributing to high-profile projects and mentoring junior staff. You will play a key role in delivering technically robust geotechnical services to a broad client base, while also supporting the leadership and development of the team. You will be leading and managing ground investigations across a range of sectors. Your day-to-day activities will involve writing phase 1 and 2 technical reports, managing junior staff, working alongside clients and supporting business development.
Essential Criteria:
A degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or Geotechnical Engineering (MSc preferred)
Extensive experience in ground investigation and geotechnical reporting
Strong understanding of UK ground conditions and industry standards
Experience mentoring or managing junior engineers
Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills
Full UK driving licence
Based within commutable distance to Manchester
