We are currently seeking a resilient and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work at a welcoming SEN school in Oldham. This role will involve supervising classes and delivering pre-set work, primarily supporting students with special educational needs and moderate behavioural challenges, across lower-level GCSE lessons. Role Details: Position: Cover Supervisor Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time, long-term (potential for permanent placement) Salary: Competitive, based on experience Key Responsibilities: Supervising and delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, mainly supporting lower-level GCSE students. Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment. Supporting students with a range of needs, including communication difficulties, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, and mild behavioural challenges. Working collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams to provide consistency and stability for students. Maintaining accurate records of student participation, engagement, and any behavioural incidents. Requirements: Experience working with young people, preferably in a SEN, mainstream, or alternative education setting. Ability to manage behaviour positively and calmly. Flexibility to cover a range of subjects at lower GCSE entry levels. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
