Our Maintenance team is looking for an experienced HVAC Engineer to join their team and support the delivery of continuous improvement to service standards, and world class guest experiences.
The role ensures all HVAC systems at staff and guest accommodation, as well as restaurant outlets, the airport, and other key buildings operate efficiently, safely, and comply with regulatory standards, supporting the overall operational excellence of the facility.
The role may require working in challenging physical conditions, including hot or cold environments, confined spaces, and outdoor settings. The role is on the 24/7 roster within the Maintenance team and a point of escalation for after-hours 'on call'/unplanned work and will on occasions be required to be rostered for planned out of hours work.
What you will be doing
* Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handling units (AHUs), and ventilation systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to ensure timely resolution and minimum downtime.
* Keep detailed maintenance records and reports
* Perform general maintenance tasks across guest and tenanted properties, plus gardens, as directed; including painting and ground works.
* Demonstrate an understanding of both Health & Safety and emergency procedures.
What you will bring to the role
* Full Clean Driver's license.
* Minimum one years' experience of HVAC systems
* A degree is desirable
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to HVAC systems and controls.
* Excellent communication skills and conversational English
* Proven ability to work alone under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail, as well as being a team player.
* Experience in the safe operation of various mechanical equipment, or the willingness to complete training.

* Full time, permanent, minimum 80 hours per fortnight, $29 - $33 Per Hour
