Job Description
Design Manager
Manchester City Centre
Lead the design.
We’re looking for a talented Design Manager to take ownership of Glenbrook’s visual identity and creative output. This is a hands-on role for a designer who cares deeply about quality, consistency, and craft and wants their work to have real impact.
You’ll shape how our brand is seen, experienced, and communicated across everything we do.
About Glenbrook
We’re a design-conscious property company specialising in development, investment, and asset management. We’ve delivered over £700m of schemes across the UK, creating more than 2,000 homes across Manchester, MediaCityUK, and Liverpool — with thousands more in the pipeline.
We believe strong design is essential to communicating the quality and ambition of our work.
The Role
You’ll lead and deliver design across print and digital from brochures and bid decks to presentations and brand assets. You’ll take ownership of our visual identity, ensuring everything we produce is thoughtful, consistent, and well-crafted.
You’ll also line-manage our Brand Assistant, helping maintain high standards and supporting their development.
This is a role with genuine ownership and creative influence.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Designing high-quality brochures, presentations, bid decks, and brand collateral
* Creating digital assets for web, social, and internal communications
* Owning and evolving Glenbrook’s visual identity and brand guidelines
* Ensuring consistency and attention to detail across all design output
* Preparing artwork for print and working with external suppliers
* Line-managing and mentoring our Brand Assistant
* Bringing creative thinking and raising the overall standard of design
About You
* A strong graphic designer with 3+ years’ experience
* Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva
* Confident across both print and digital design
* A great eye for layout, typography, and visual consistency
* Someone who takes pride in their work and cares about quality
* Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects
Experience in property or architecture is a bonus, but not essential.
Why This Role is Different
* Real ownership of a brand — not just production work
* Opportunity to shape and elevate a growing company’s visual identity
* High-visibility work used across major UK developments
* A collaborative, supportive team that values design
* Freedom to bring ideas and creative direction
What We Offer
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays + your birthday off + Christmas shutdown
* Annual discretionary bonus
* Company pension
* On-site gym and free personal training sessions
* Hybrid working (4 days office, 1 day home)
* Manchester city-centre office
