Clinical Support Worker - Theatres

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to provide a high quality of care to patients in our busy theatre department.

We run a 24‑hour service and you will be required to work all shifts, including day shifts, night shifts, on‑call, evening and weekend work.

About us
We operate from three main hospitals – Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal – as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI offer a range of general hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various consultant‑led services. WGH provides a range of general hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non‑life‑threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day‑case and inpatient surgery. A range of local outreach services and diagnostics are also provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

Person Specification
Experience
* Previous experience working with general public
* Evidence of moving and handling patients using lift aids
* Previous experience in a care environment
* Previous operating theatre experience
Skills, ability and knowledge
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
* Ability to follow clear instruction
* Awareness of the NHS structure and current issues
* Previous experience working in a team
* Previous experience working without supervision
Personal Qualities
* Demonstrates innovation, positivity and good behaviours in the application
