Supervisor – Data Centre environment – £55,000 – £60,000
An established global facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Supervisor (HV) to support operations at a large, mission‑critical data centre in South London. This is a key leadership role, responsible for supervising day‑to‑day critical engineering operations while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and uptime.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate a team of critical engineers on site
* Act as the Authorised Person / Senior Authorised Person for HV systems (where applicable)
* Ensure safe operation and maintenance of HV/LV electrical infrastructure
* Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities
* Manage permits to work, risk assessments, and method statements
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and site procedures
* Support incident response and escalation processes in a 24/7 critical environment
Requirements
* Proven experience working within a data centre or critical environment
* Strong HV electrical background (Authorised Person experience preferred)
* Supervisory or team leadership experience
* Excellent knowledge of electrical safety rules and compliance standards
* Ability to remain calm and decisive in high‑pressure situations
* Relevant electrical qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
