Job Title: Data Privacy Lawyer 12 Month Contract A little bit about our team: Our Data Privacy Team is based in Warner's UK offices in Kensington, London and works closely with other departments within the UK and with affiliates around the world. The Team are involved in privacy aspects of all elements of the Warner Music group's activities working across both recorded music and music publishing businesses. The privacy team also works closely with colleagues in People and Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) teams around the world to enable people data initiatives that foster a culture of employee enrichment. Why this could be your next big break: This is an exciting opportunity to work in a global data privacy team on an ambitious range of technology and digital data assignments including the use of technology and data to deliver meaningful outcomes for our staff, artists and writers. Collaborating with a variety of internal stakeholders and with a special focus on working with our global people teams and DEI teams on the use of employee data, you will be expected to work responsively and be able to regularly tune and adjust your data privacy advice to add value and help deliver transformational people projects that comply with international privacy and data protection laws, including GDPR, PECR, CCPA and CPRA. Here you'll get to: Providing privacy and data protection advice to our business for their data driven objectives, including in relation to audience and marketing data, people data, technology workstreams and others. Guiding our commercial, technology and people teams on how best to ensure data protection by design and default is baked-into the design, build, test and deployment stages of all their activities Carrying out Data Protection Impact Assessments and providing solutions to mitigate data privacy risks on a number of varied use cases Overseeing data protection audits and reviews of products Recommending successful compliance strategies and leading on their roll - out Assisting with international data transfer and data processing agreements with vendors and other third parties. Providing data privacy advice to contract negotiations where relevant. Delivering data privacy staff training to all WMG entities and affiliates, with a particular focus on people and digital data uses Writing and updating data privacy and data protection policies, including staff and consumer privacy notices Overseeing the development and implementation of data privacy compliance activities, including monitoring and record keeping, breach notification logs and records of processing activities About you: Should be legally qualified, and have at least one data privacy or data protection qualification Passion for and experience in the field of privacy and data protection Will have extensive hands-on experience of addressing a variety of data privacy and data protection issues, with a special focus on the lawful use of people data Ideally from working in a multi-national organisation, ideally with a minimum of 4 years in a data privacy and data protection focused role Must understand and know how to deal with the data privacy challenges relating to a breadth of processing activities including responding to changing requirements Will be able to make data privacy recommendations successfully in a fast-paced environment Will have a detailed knowledge of EU and UK GDPR, PECR, CCPA and CPRA and a good understanding of other data privacy regulations applying in the rest of the world Must be skilled in assessing and implementing controls to manage data privacy risks Will be experienced in negotiating and writing data privacy policies and operating procedures Will be able to deliver engaging training on data privacy and data protection matters Should be effective at communicating with a wide range of partners, both in writing and verbally, and be good at explaining data privacy and data protection issues to business team members. Will know how to succeed working independently and as part of a team We'd love it if you also had: Experience working for an International business.
