Electrical Testing Technician We're on the lookout for either a school leaver or electrical graduate who's ready to start their career within a lighting lab environment as an electrical testing technician. In this role, you'll get stuck into learning all about different types of lighting fixtures—how they work, where they're used, and how we test them to make sure they meet industry standards. What You'll Be Doing Teaming up with experienced technicians to set up and test lighting equipment Running simple but important lab tests to help us understand product performance - Goniophotometric testing, luminaire safety assessment and UMS Testing. Preparing and sharing test results with the team Helping with project bookings and keeping things organised behind the scenes Keeping the lab tidy and well-maintained Supporting calibration and repairs of lab equipment Pitching in with lab maintenance and construction projects What You'll Need You don't need to know everything already—Full training will be provided. But here's what could make you a great fit: An interest or background in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Product Design, or another STEM subject Knowledge of Luminare Safety and electrical testing Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload Great communication skills—both written and verbal Confident using Microsoft Office and general IT tools A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach A solid foundation in Maths, English, and Science A genuine interest in the technical side of the lighting industry Eagerness to learn, progress and develop!
