Overview
Manchester Early Service is expanding with additional funding to develop a modern, responsive mental health service. We are seeking dynamic Band 6 Occupational Therapists to join our OT team within the Early Intervention Teams across Manchester. The post may be full-time or part-time, with vacancies based at North Team (Central Park), Central Team, and South Team (Chorlton House). You will work as part of a professional structure with support from a Lead OT in your locality and opportunities for mandatory training and CPD, with emphasis on developing skills within the Model of Human Occupation.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and coordinate specialist Occupational Therapy assessments within the team.
* Care coordinate and keywork a reduced caseload of individuals, applying an OT-focused approach.
* Provide and coordinate physical and mental health wellbeing interventions to promote recovery, alongside our physical health pathway.
* Collaborate with a range of agencies and support junior staff within the teams.
* Produce high-standard evidence-based occupational and employment assessments and reports, illustrating how biological, sociological and psychological factors impact occupational participation within the social context.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience in community settings and Early Intervention Teams.
* Willingness to develop skills within the Model of Human Occupation through mandatory training and CPD.
* Ability to work as part of a professional structure with supervision from a Lead OT and Professional Lead OT.
* Engagement with multi-agency teams and support for junior OT staff and students.
