About the role
As a Learning Support Assistant in this inclusive school, you'll work across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2. Your role will involve supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs, both in mainstream classrooms and within designated ALN settings.
This is a varied and fulfilling position where you’ll play a vital part in helping pupils feel confident, supported, and included in school life.
Your key responsibilities
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with ALN
2. Encourage pupil independence and support with personal care where required
3. Assist in managing behaviour using consistent, positive strategies
4. Help prepare learning resources and support in class delivery
5. Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals
6. Promote an inclusive and respectful learning environment
Who we’re looking for
7. Someone with experience working with children or young people, ideally in education or care
8. A calm, patient and flexible individual with a genuine passion for inclusion
9. Knowledge of ALN or an interest in learning more about inclusive strategies
10. Confidence in managing behaviour in a positive and nurturing way
11. A strong team player with good communication skills
12. A driving licence and access to transport is helpful but not essential
