Role: CMM Quality Inspector
Location: Coventry
Duration: 3 months
Rate: £21.72 /hour PAYE
Purpose
To operate a Variety of machinery within Thermal VS.
Key Duties
1. Program / operate CMM equipment and generate reports to ensure the conformance of product in line with drawing requirements.
2. Operate specialist test and measuring equipment. Also, provide product assurance support services to achieve production requirements and to maintain calibration and quality standards.
3. Ensure programs and procedures used are the current version/level.
4. Undertake First Article Inspection in accordance with Quality Procedure (QP) requirements.
5. Be accountable for the accuracy/quality and correctness of the task performed. Work to eliminate/minimize undetected errors, which could reduce customer confidence and/or the efficiency of the cell's operation.
6. Develop and maintain good relationships with all contacts. The ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the team's objectives and performance is an important element of the role. Some interfacing with people external to the Company will occur.
7. Carry out all other tasks necessary in support of the Product and Quality Assurance role that are required to support the business.
8. Record and process non-conformances using the appropriate databases.
9. Use of the business system to record entry into stock and able to make stock adjustments.
10. Interrogate CMM reports and work with team embers to improve quality status
11. Have the ability to read and follow process layout instruction sheets set out to perform their duties accurately.
12. Flexible in working practices at all times.
13. Fill in route cards and any other paperwork clearly as and when required.
14. Inspect and verify their own and others work with an excellent eye for detail.
15. Perform basic TPM activities on equipment used.
16. Take part in problem solving activities and Kaizens where required
17. Work safety and adhere to company policies at all times
18. Bench inspection
Key Requirements
19. Apprentice engineering or relevant experience.
20. An engineering apprenticeship is desirable, although training will be given.
21. 1 year's similar experience in an engineering manufacturing facility.
22. Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
23. Ability to operate various inspection and test equipment.
24. Good computer skills are desirable, as is a knowledge of the computer systems used (SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Q-Pulse etc).
25. Demonstrable ability to work with minimum supervision.
26. Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Lifting, meeting the eye test requirements of the role.
