Job Title: Production Operative – Temporary Contract
We have a great opportunity for Production Operators on a temporary, full-time basis.
Epson Telford Limited, established in 1987, operates on a 50-acre site with a 24/7 manufacturing facility. It is the only European manufacturing and distribution site for ink cartridges and textile inks, recently expanding into blow moulding.
Quality and innovation are central to our operations, from our Cleanroom environment to in-house machinery, design, and technological advancements, including the use of 6-axis robots.
Salary:
£24,829 + 17% shift allowance
Shift Pattern:
Week 1 – 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Week 2 – 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Successful applicants will undergo a recruitment process including literacy and numeracy tests, drug and alcohol screening, a health and safety briefing, and a competency-based interview, totaling approximately 3 hours.
Responsibilities:
* Check production shipping plans to prioritize orders
* Communicate with the infusion department about planned builds
* Manage stock movements within the packing area, including replenishment
* Report spillages and leaks to KTP
* Follow procedures and work instructions for each process
* Record batch codes for traceability
* Produce labels for each pouch or bag based on model information
* Achieve daily production targets
* Maintain quality standards throughout the shift
* Escalate machine downtime to technicians
* Set up lines correctly at shift start and ensure they are cleared at shift end
* Perform 5S activities during and after shifts
* Move unwanted satellites and barrels back to their designated locations
* Always wear PPE
* Ensure trolley quantities are correct and match paperwork
* Follow work instructions for infusion and packing areas
* Support other business areas as needed
* Complete all required training
* Record SAP transactions for movements and inspections
* Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly
