Key Results

37. 5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, working 1 in 4 weekends.

Summary responsibilities

* Ensure the safe, effective and meaningful delivery of holistic care, activities, well-being services and overall experience of our residents meeting their unique needs.
* First point of contact to resolve queries/concerns from residents, their families, and colleagues.
* Support and welcome new residents to the unit by assisting with pre-admission assessments (non-clinical), settling in process and daily reviews (including dementia assessments).
* Undertake clinical assessments (with Registered Nurse) and carry out diagnostic observations. Complete audits, care plans and behaviour charts.
* Undertake day to day care tasks as required.
* Leadership and line management of Care Assistants and Seniors and all associated processes.
* Support with budget management, monitoring and reporting.

Other Skills and Qualifications

Essential

* Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
* Level 2 in Understanding the Safe Handling of Medication in Social Care (or equivalent)
* Confident and competent in workplace assessment/Care Certificate assessor
* Experience of working with older people, those with a disability, and/or dementia
* Experience of working in a nursing home/hospital/sheltered housing/social care setting in a supervisory/management capacity
* Confident with using IT and an advanced understanding of Word/Email
* First Aid (first responder) qualification
* Knowledge of manual handling and food and hygiene practices

Desirable

* Level 3 qualification in Leadership/Management (or equivalent) or willing to work towards (essential)
