As a Market Risk - European Gas, Power & Emissions- Senior Associate/ Vice President in the Market Risk team, you will focus on European Gas, Power & Emissions. You will lead our growth into physical markets, working closely with various stakeholders to manage and mitigate market risks. Job Responsibilities:
• Monitor and analyze market risk exposures related to European Gas, Power & Emissions.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to support expansion into physical markets.
• Collaborate with trading, finance, and operations teams for comprehensive risk assessment and management.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and present risk reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
• Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments affecting European energy markets.
• Support the development and enhancement of risk management tools and systems.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Proven experience in market risk management within the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of European Gas, Power & Emissions markets.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Knowledge of Market Risk practices such as stress testing, scenario analysis, VaR, risk sensitivities, limits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
