A highly regarded independent school in Exeter is looking to appoint a Design and Technology Teacher to join its STEM faculty from September 2025. The department is focused on developing skills in design thinking, product development, and innovation using state-of-the-art equipment and collaborative projects.
Students are introduced to a range of materials and technologies at KS3, with options to specialise in Product Design and Engineering at GCSE and A-Level. The department features advanced CAD/CAM software, laser cutting and CNC machinery, and a dedicated team of technical staff.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, project-based learning and encourage students to combine technical skills with creativity and social responsibility.
Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Product Design, Engineering, or related field + QTS
• Ability to teach DT up to A-Level
• Strong working knowledge of design software and manufacturing processes
• Innovative approach to design education and sustainability
• Right to work in the UK
