Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Hours are part time 20 regular hours per week plus overtime for holiday and sickness cover.
Hours for this post –
Wed 8.30-1pm
Thursday pm
Fri 1pm - 6.30
TOTAL 15.75
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing essential administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a friendly demeanour to ensure a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
* Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
* Manage appointment scheduling and confirm patient bookings.
* Handle incoming calls and respond to inquiries regarding services and procedures.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
* Process patient registration forms and insurance information efficiently.
* Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate smooth operations within the practice.
* Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming for patients.
Skills
* Strong administrative skills with experience in an office environment preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
* Proficiency in using office equipment and computer systems, including electronic health records (EHR) software.
* Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy setting.
* Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient information and documentation.
* A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding at all times.
