We are looking for a Health and Safety Officer to join an industrial special works and hard FM main contractor with projects throughout Essex and Northeast London. The family owned, £30m a year turnover company has an interesting, diverse portfolio of projects ranging from office fit outs, to live factory modifications, re-roofing and mezzanine instals each valued from £200k to £3m. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct frequent, unannounced inspections across a number of individual construction projects to monitor and enforce strict compliance with company health and safety policies and all relevant statutory regulations then produce detailed, high-quality reports on audit findings, non-compliance issues, incident investigations, and all preventative/corrective actions taken. These reports will then be presented to the H&S Manager and the Board so this is an important, business critical role requiring the highest levels of diligence and responsibility. Candidate essentials; NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, or NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent professional qualification).
