Marketing Manager, EU Events – Maternity cover (12 months)
Based in Leatherhead, Surrey, 3 days in office, 2 days from home.
The role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced events marketing professional to join us on a maternity cover contract as a Marketing Manager for our EU events portfolio.
As Marketing Manager, EU Events, your responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and implementing the EU Events Marketing strategy
2. Managing the Events Marketing team and allocating workload
3. Running multiple simultaneous event marketing campaigns
4. Achieving revenue targets for the EU Events portfolio by attracting delegates through marketing activities
5. Managing the marketing team to meet revenue and delegate attendance targets
6. Tracking and controlling budgets across the EU portfolio
7. Creating, editing, and proofreading emails, press releases, and promotional materials
8. Managing existing and developing new strategic media and association partnerships
9. Enhancing the profile of conferences within their industries
10. Managing marketing campaigns for 4-5 large-scale events
11. Creating and executing email marketing campaigns, including HTML editing
12. Fulfilling partnership agreements and researching new partners and suppliers
13. Updating event websites via CMS, creating online banners, and resizing logos/photos in Photoshop
14. Producing marketing literature for events
15. Conducting market research and managing data segmentation, preferences, and unsubscribes
16. Utilizing media and social media to generate content and campaigns
The person
* Degree in marketing or a related field
* Experience managing direct marketing campaigns and B2B marketing
* Proven experience with social media and SEO
* Familiarity with Google Analytics and metrics analysis
* Intermediate Photoshop skills; knowledge of Dreamweaver and HTML coding is a plus
* Confidence in using CRM and Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data management
* Experience in the event and conference industry is advantageous
* Strong negotiation skills and confidence in dealing with media and partners
* This position offers a hybrid remote work schedule
