As the Assistant Management Accountant in G’s Fresh, you will provide financial processing to a variety of businesses to support reporting, KPI’s and management accounts. Working with internal stakeholders (both financial and operational) you will support them to create reporting and commit transactional entries to the set of accounts. The role is defined to support the wider finance farms team.
Responsibilities
* Work with complex datasets and systems to identify trends and variances and provide clear, accurate and timely information and insight to business leaders.
* Drive improvements and build on weekly KPI reporting.
* Maintain system data set up to ensure accurate reporting.
* Produce and submit monthly accounts to group, including analysis and commentary in accordance with month end and year end timetables.
* Prepare month end reconciliations of the balance sheet and Trial Balance.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the wider finance community to share best practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of the finance service.
* Be involved in Finance projects for the improvement of reporting, analysis, and data interpretations.
* Assist with audit and stakeholder’s queries to high levels of accuracy and speed.
* Cross departmental cover, collaboration and ad hoc requirements.
Qualifications
* Our ideal candidate will be an accountant looking to develop their career in a fast‑paced environment, someone who is well‑organised, a self‑starter with the ability to demonstrate excellent basics, team engagement and communication skills with an aptitude for problem‑solving, decision making and data analytics.
* Intermediate Excel Skills Are Required.
* Experience working in a fast‑paced, complex commercial environment is desired but an attitude to learn and grow will stand you in good stead.
