Job Description Supply Chain Operations Manager Full time Derby/Hybrid What you will be doing An exciting position has become available in the Manufacturing Operations working as a Supply Chain Operations manager (SCOM), overseeing and co-ordinating the delivery of hardware to ensure minimal disruption to our Engine Build Operations. You will work impartially to ensure that supply is co-ordinated for the best outcome of Rolls-Royce. Using standard processes, you will be accountable to operationally ensure the right parts are delivered to the CLE build line at the right time so that the engine build plan can be executed. Working within Manufacturing Operations and closely alongside A & T, Procurement, Engine Value Streams and supporting functions you will identify, prioritise, mitigate and resolve delivery issues impacting the engine build line. You will also manage the Shop Control team who are accountable for delivering the right kits to the build line and transactional integrity of allocation of these kits to engines. Responsibilities: With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to: Provide operational input to support Sales & Operations Planning activities as required. Impartially co-ordinate supply to ensure the best possible customer and business outcome for Rolls-Royce. Lead the operational drive within the business to credibly execute the plans, ensuring delivery of customer requirements. Implement and embed standard delivery processes. Ensure that commitment acceptance is deployed and sustained within the value stream. Drive to ensure the ERP system reflects current commitments and ERP compliance within the value stream, using the standard, mandated Work Instruction, ensuring robustness of plans through high integrity data. Ensure robust plans are in place to facilitate supplier recovery. Ensure awareness within the value stream of delivery issues, mitigations and recovery plans. Ensure all supply chain risks that have potential to impact delivery are identified, prioritised and escalated, where appropriate, within the wider organisation. Through the standard process, ensure root cause analysis is completed for priority parts where the delivery plan has failed. Oversight of load & capacity planning processes across the value streams to ensure delivery plans are supported by realistic manufacturing performance and robust inbound supply plans. Knowledge / understanding of OE Engine Build Sequencing and Services Engine Repair and Overhaul. Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification (eg. APICS). Proven leadership qualities through ability to influence outside area of direct control. Demonstrated ability to deliver under challenging circumstances. Broad understanding of different roles / functions / processes (e.g. Manufacturing, Purchase, NPI, ME etc). Implemented improvement activity, participated in dealing with change (e.g. process, organisation). Experience of production planning and control processes.
