Our ideal candidate is an experienced Field Engineer who has worked with ONE OR MORE of the following technologies, from initial site survey to installation:
* Two-Way Radio or Paging networks (preferred) or Unified Communications or IT or WiFi networking or CCTV and Access Control.
About the Role:
Join our team as a Installation Engineer and play a key role in shaping high‑performance solutions for a wide variety of clients. This is a hands‑on, dynamic role where no two days are the same - perfect for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, new technologies, and seeing their work come to life in real environments.
In this job you’ll carry out on-site surveys, helping to ensure that every deployment delivers exceptional coverage and reliability. Working often with integration partners a solid understanding of basic IT, cabling and network systems will support your success.
We are looking for someone who keeps pace with our evolving portfolio, is enthusiastic about continued learning, and enjoys broadening their technical capability. Experience supporting clients on site and producing clear documentation (ISO structure) will be a strong advantage in this role.
There will also be opportunities to contribute to wider areas of the business with unique projects, such as feedback and ideas for new products or supporting the implementation of new processes and procedures. This is a great role for a field engineer who wants to develop their career to a more senior role with more complex projects and/or advance their recognised experience of Project Management.
Essential Skills:
* 3+ years’ experience in a field installation role, ideally involving radio‑based technologies such as two-way radios or UHF technology.
* Knowledge of communication principles, preferred - such as Wi‑Fi technologies, IT networking (IP addressing, routing basics, switching fundamentals).
* Experience completing structured documentation, including site surveys and installation reports.
* Understanding of cabling (Cat5e/6/6A0) and termination and cable management standards.
* Full UK driving licence and experience driving a company van across a wide geographic region.
* Ability to manage own workload, operate independently on customer premises, and deliver work within project timelines.
* ECS/CSCS Card, and a strong appreciation of safe working practices on client sites.
* Full, unlimited right to work in the UK. Currently residing within 1 hour of Elstree, Hertfordshire / North London is preferred. Applicants requiring relocation to the UK will not be considered. Relocation within the UK may be supported.
Desired Skills:
* Background working with RF systems, such as radio communications, wireless paging, access control, or nurse‑call technologies.
* Experience participating in project rollouts including phased installations.
* Strong PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Suite (Basic Visio / diagramming tools helpful).
* High attention to detail including tidy cabling, labelling, and a professional approach to installation aesthetics for VIP homes and historic buildings and/or physically complex sites.
* Familiarity with network environments, able to support configuration under guidance.
* Experience supporting Radio/IT/POS/IoT or other network‑enabled hardware deployments.
* Experience working within customer‑facing service environments with SLAs or KPI targets.

The role involves working at client sites across the UK but with an emphasis on the area from Milton Keynes and below (M1, M40, M25, M5 vicinity). Our ideal candidate lives close to Head Office in Elstree, Hertfordshire or in the region of Herts, Beds, Bucks, Essex, Northants. There is often a chance to travel overseas (voluntarily) to do installations for European and US clients
