As a Principal Logistics Support Analysis Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be part of a team delivering Support Solution for one of the UK's largest defence programmes—ensuring long-term operational effectiveness and shaping future capability through expert support to both the customer and wider team. Day-to-day, you'll help facilitate and implement the In-Service Logistic Support Analysis ways of working.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working within the MOD team and collaborating closely with the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) Project Lead
2. Partnering with MOD and industry stakeholders to define LSAR transition from build to in-service, and its application as a Class solution
3. Acting as the LSAR subject matter expert, providing guidance on all related queries
4. Supporting and mentoring team members to build LSAR expertise across the programme
5. Applying best practices in LSAR development, integration, and lifecycle management
This role is full-time, 35 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience:
* Proven track record in developing, delivering, and managing LSARs for complex defence or engineering assets
* Ability to work independently, challenge norms, and make informed decisions with limited data
* Solid understanding of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS)/Integrated Product Support (IPS) principles and their application across the asset lifecycle
* Skilled in technical investigations and analysis to support problem resolution and design improvements
* Strong communicator with leadership qualities, able to guide team members and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
* Degree-level qualification in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) preferred; relevant vocational experience will also be considered
* Professional registration as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer (IEng/CEng) with a recognized engineering institution, or a strong commitment to achieving registration through continuous professional development (CPD)
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
