I am working with a trusted name in the building services and fabric maintenance sector, delivering high-quality, responsive solutions for prestigious clients, priding themselves on professionalism, collaboration, and a solutions-first approach. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Fabric Project Manager to join the team and play a key role in managing fabric operations, projects, and client relationships.
The Role
As Fabric Project Manager, you will take ownership of fabric maintenance, small works, and fit-out projects, acting as a key interface between clients, internal teams, and supply chain partners. This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.
You’ll manage the wider fabric team, oversee helpdesk operations, support project delivery, and ensure that all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and support the wider fabric team
Oversee and manage the GS bespoke helpdesk system
Produce detailed nightly handovers for ongoing works
Chair quarterly internal and client-facing performance meetings
Manage corrective works and small works projects
Prepare quotations, estimates, and supplier enquiries
Maintain strong client relationships with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, cleaning teams, and WPAs
Attend and contribute to client and stakeholder meetings
Take ownership of weekly documentation, trackers, and reports
Provide post-works reporting, audits, and site updates
Manage onsite assets, consumables, and loading bay operations
Apply strong health & safety knowledge, including RAMS preparation
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Support QS-related duties and maintain O&M manuals
Be available for emergencies when required
About You
You’ll be an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in fit-out, fabric maintenance, or building services, confident operating in a client-facing environment.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience managing fabric works and small projects
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
A solid understanding of health & safety requirements
Confidence using Excel and reporting tools
Experience estimating and preparing quotations
Ability to interpret drawings and technical information
NVQ Level 7 (desirable)
SMSTS (desirable)
