We are seeking a confident, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Global Mobility Officer who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the ongoing development of the Global Mobility function and strengthening its international partnerships.
Reporting to the Global Mobility Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day Global Mobility operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and an excellent stakeholder experience. You will also contribute to wider transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to shape and embed efficient, scalable processes that support the Organisation’s growing global footprint.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end Global Mobility processes, including international assignments, secondments, and overseas engagements.
* Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on mobility-related matters, ensuring compliance with immigration, tax, payroll, and employment legislation.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders such as HR, Finance, Payroll, and Legal, as well as external advisors where required.
* Coordinate documentation, approvals, and record-keeping to ensure robust governance and audit readiness.
* Monitor and track mobility activity, producing accurate reports and data insights to inform decision-making.
* Contribute to policy development, process optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the function.
* Support the delivery of projects
You will ideally:
* Have previous experience working in Global Mobility and/or Finance/Payroll, with an understanding of cross-border employment complexities.
* Have experience working within a Higher Education HR environment, ideally supporting internationally mobile staff.
* Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret and apply technical compliance advice in a practical, solutions-focused way.
* Be highly organised, proactive, and capable of designing, developing, and embedding efficient and sustainable processes.
* Possess excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across different cultures and jurisdictions.
* Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
