Job Description
Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company. KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents, offering challenging assignments on some of the world’s largest and most complex projects.
We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Designer for a 6‑month contract, based in Swindon, Wiltshire.

NB. The chosen candidate must be eligible to obtain entry level security checks (BPSS); therefore, we can only consider candidates who have the right to live and work in the UK.
Responsibilities
* Produce drawings for parts of equipment including generators and distribution equipment
* Lead and contribute to the mechanical design of systems and supporting structures
* Provide engineering support through prototype build, testing, and qualification phases, resolving design issues and implementing corrective actions
* Conduct design reviews and configuration management activities in collaboration with Maintenance and Mechanical Engineering teams
Experience and Qualifications
* Over 5 years of experience within design engineering, having completed projects of generators and distribution equipment
* Proficient in AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
* Familiarity with MOD standards and Defence Standards relevant to mechanical and power systems
* Understanding of manufacturing processes for military grade equipment
