Role Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a high-performing manufacturing environment. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving quality systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business. This position offers clear progression into a Quality Manager role within 2–3 years, supported by structured development and leadership exposure.
Role & Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer
* As a Quality Engineer, manage and maintain Quality Management Systems in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015 standards
* Plan and conduct internal audits, ensuring compliance with documented procedures and work instructions
* Oversee PPAP submissions and ensure adherence to customer and contractual requirements
* Act as the primary interface for customer quality concerns, supporting internal and external audits
* Drive continuous improvement through structured problem-solving methodologies and data analysis
* Lead quality performance and cost-of-quality assessments using statistical tools
* Implement lean manufacturing principles and lead kaizen events across production areas
* Provide coaching, guidance, and training on quality-related matters to internal teams and customers
Requirements of a Quality Engineer
* Proven experience working as a Quality Engineer within a high-volume manufacturing environment
* Qualified Internal Auditor to ISO 9001 standards
* Strong knowledge of problem-solving tools such as 8D, A3, Ishikawa, and 5 Whys
* Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all organisational levels
* Confident working with cloud-based systems
* Desirable: Knowledge of IATF core tools, VDA Auditor certification, Six Sigma Green Belt
