Job Details
The Property and Contracts Team of Fife Council's Legal Section are looking for two enthusiastic and committed solicitors to provide legal support in property matters, including conveyancing, commercial leasing, compulsory purchase orders, procurement and Common Good. The two temporary posts are for a period of 12 months each to cover maternity leave.
The post is within one of three legal teams which also covers freedom of information, contracts, public procurement and data protection assisting the council in delivering the aims in Plan4Fife. There will be opportunities and support to apply any existing knowledge or experience, or to develop new skills, in these areas.

The Person
This post will suit a candidate with experience in conveyancing and general property matters. Knowledge and experience in the other areas or a willingness to develop in those areas would be desirable. You should hold a Law Degree (LLB) and a Diploma in Legal Practice or an equivalent. You also should be a qualified solicitor holding, or eligible to hold, an unrestricted Practicing Certificate issued by the Law Society of Scotland, be able to work under limited supervision with well-developed communication and IT skills.
