Overview
Community Payback Supervisor – responsible for supervising small groups of offenders and ensuring they complete unpaid community work tasks on time, safely and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and motivate teams to complete community work such as clearing overgrowth, restoring facilities, planting trees, litter picking and graffiti removal.
* Drive service vehicles to transport people and equipment when required.
* Maintain accurate records, report progress and liaise with service users and other stakeholders.
* Demonstrate best practice and maintain a safe working environment.
* Provide support and guidance to team members, encouraging professional development.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence – automatic licences are not accepted.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Experience in a supervisory or community‑focused role is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, empathy and the ability to lead a diverse group effectively.
Working Hours & Conditions
Standard full‑time hours of 37 per week, excluding unpaid breaks. The role requires working on weekends (with a 50% higher rate for weekend days) and occasionally in the evenings.
Pay & Benefits
Starting salary £26,475, with annual progression through a Competency Based Framework. Annual leave begins at 25 days and increases to 30 days after 5 years of service. Pension through the Local Government Pension Scheme.
