Job description
Strabane & District Caring Services has part-time contracts available for Domiciliary Care Workers to provide care in the community in the Cityside & Waterside areas of Derry/Londonderry. The Domiciliary Care worker will work as part of a team providing personal, domestic and social care at home to vulnerable individuals in the community (including frail elderly, those with physical and learning disabilities and mental health).

* Work as part of a team to provide personal and domestic care.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* A full valid driving licence and access to transport for work purposes.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Work as part of a team.
* Understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
* Able to promote dignity and respect in care delivery.
* Able to promote and deliver personal care.
Desirable Skills
* 6 months experience in formal care setting.
* NVQ level 2 in Care or equivalent.
* NISCC registered or willing to undertake if successful.
* Knowledge of domiciliary care minimum standards.
Further Information
Joining Bonus - £150 (T's & C's apply) Rotas available: Morning/Lunch : 7.00am to 2.00pm, Bed Run: 7.00pm to 11.00pm. Pay: Morning, lunch & tea runs: Monday - Friday -£12.30 per hour. Bed runs: Monday - Thursday £13.15 per hour and Friday £14.15 per hour. Weekend: All runs £14.15 per hour. Successful applicants must be willing to carry out Access NI check. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prohibit you from working with Strabane & District Caring Services. This will depend on the information provided and obtained from disclosure certificate, as well as the position applied for.
