My client, an innovative, diverse Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Graduate Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, in the beautiful, northern Cathedral City of York, North Yorkshire.
Essential Criteria:
1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
2. Good knowledge of flood risk and drainage strategies, including Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
3. Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (e.g., S104, S106, etc.)
4. Knowledge of InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and other, similar software packages
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
7. A willingness to learn and consistently develop technical skills through hands-on experience
It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Graduate Civil Engineer to have the following:
8. Some professional experience, particularly with flood risk and drainage
9. Working knowledge of a range of additional software packages, including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, etc.
10. A demonstrable commitment to improving your knowledge and skills in the field
11. Good time management skills
