An exciting opportunity for a full‑time band 7 Senior Children’s Nurse within the Bexley and Greenwich Community Children’s Nursing Team and the integrated Hospital at Home Team.
Responsibilities
* Provide highly skilled nursing care to children and families in their homes or community settings.
* Cover both CCN/HAH, managing a varied caseload of children with complex medical needs and conditions requiring rapid service input.
* Work 7‑day service from 08:00 to 20:30, with 24‑hour on‑call provision for children and young people requiring end‑of‑life care at home.
* Depute for the team manager when required.
* Clinically lead service projects and developments, facilitating engagement in change management and service innovation.
* Support discharge planning, enabling early discharge from hospital.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* NMC registered.
* Evidence of relevant postgraduate qualification.
* Extensive experience of working within a community children’s nursing environment.
* Evidence of research and/or audit.
* Evidence of specialist clinical competence.
* Experience in managing clinical incidents and holding leadership roles.
* Evidence of excellent communication skills.
* Experience in leading or managing complex situations.

* Continued professional development.
* Evidence of leading or involvement in service development.
* Evidence of professional role modelling.
