Sapiens UK is seeking a VP of Business Unit for our Life & Pensions Division, based in Cardiff, to become a trusted advisor and strategic partner, driving innovative solutions and empowering clients to achieve their business goals.
Our successful candidate will work closely with customers to develop a deep understanding of their business, objectives, and priorities. You will use this knowledge to foster and propose solutions and services that improve the client’s efficiency, enable competitiveness, streamline processes, and reduce expenses.
You will understand the capabilities of the solutions within the Sapiens portfolio and work to articulate a solution’s value, differentiate its capabilities, and develop an effective client value proposition, with the objective of maximizing Sapiens’s value.
This position holds overall responsibility and accountability for all Sapiens delivery provided to customers, ensuring on-time, high-quality, within-budget delivery that satisfies customers.
Business Focus
* Constantly drive growth of Sapiens business within the account.
* Manage and improve the P&L.
* Build long-term relationships with customers.
* Understand customer needs and leverage pain points into opportunities for value creation.
* Collaborate closely with Sales: proactively drive the "Land & Expand" strategy and identify cross-selling opportunities for sustainable growth.
* Manage end-to-end upsell processes, with sales support as needed.
* Develop and execute the account’s strategy in partnership with Sales.
Execution Focus
* Governance of teams to ensure high-quality delivery according to project plans.
* Responsible for meeting financial targets and contractual obligations.
* Conduct risk assessments and manage mitigations.
* Promote collaboration and teamwork with internal stakeholders.
* Serve as the escalation point for delivery issues within accounts.
* Act as a customer advocate within Sapiens, fostering a customer-focused culture.
Key Requirements
* 15+ years of management experience (staff and budget responsibility) within a global enterprise software solutions company.
* Proven experience in:
o Leading international clients and teams through complex software solution delivery on large scales (>$30M).
o Successfully managing multiple complex projects, balancing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
o Growing business within existing accounts, both hands-on and through team leadership.
* Seasoned manager capable of hiring, mentoring, coaching, and developing a high-performing, globally dispersed team.
* Experience and knowledge of Life & Pensions software solutions – Advantage.
* Excellent client relationship management skills, able to serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives.
* Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
