Overview
We are a training practice with a list size of 17,000 patients across West Lancs. We have 2 branches in Skelmersdale, 1 in Southport and 1 in Ormskirk. We are recruiting for a GP to join our team on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. We have a large family of clinical staff and are an innovative practice delivering all national and local enhanced services with a wide range of training opportunities. Our approach is forward-looking and focused on excellent clinical outcomes. We work to ensure GPs are motivated and supported in a culture of mutual learning. We hold monthly training afternoons for the whole team to share learning and maintain a collaborative environment. We manage GP workload to support sustainability, supported by a diverse and large team of staff across admin, clinical, and governance tasks.
We have clinical support in-house including pharmacists, a nursing and HCA team, and Advanced Practitioners. We embrace technology to enable more effective and efficient working, including an online triage system that allows patients to complete an online form detailing the problem, improving access and helping to guide conditions to the appropriate clinician or service.
Our practice is part of the local PCN, working Collaboratory to improve patient access within our local area. We believe in clinical excellence and that general practice is the cornerstone of wellbeing in our community, aiming to deliver GP Forward View ambitions in a locally relevant way that is valued by patients and staff.
