The Opportunity
We are working with a billion-pound turnover civil engineering main contractor, recognised for delivering some of the UKs most complex and prestigious infrastructure schemes. Due to continued growth and the award of a flagship civil engineering project in Southam, we are recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage commercial aspects of a major civil engineering project from start to completion
* Oversee procurement, subcontract management, valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Provide accurate cost forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management
* Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, risk management, and financial controls
* Work closely with the project director, site teams, and client representatives to ensure commercial success
* Lead and mentor junior members of the commercial team
About You
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering projects (£20m+ value)
* Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
* Ambitious with a drive for progression within a tier one main contractor environment
