As a Training Lead, you will design, deliver and evaluate educational programmes that equip biomedical scientists and support staff with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles. This role focuses on training development, quality assurance, workforce planning and inter‑professional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver structured training programmes, including Health & Safety.
* Support competency‑based training frameworks.
* Coordinate student placements and mentorship.
* Create teaching materials and assessment tools.
* Promote digital and blended learning.
* Design preceptorship programmes for newly registered Biomedical Scientists.
* Develop career pathways and support CPD activities.
* Lead training audits and monitor compliance (Quality Assurance & Governance).
* Maintain training records and data systems.
* Contribute to service improvement and policy development.
* Use data to inform workforce planning and training needs.
Collaboration & Communication
* Build relationships across LCL and external partners.
* Champion inter‑professional learning and NHS scientific careers.
* Provide updates and reports to leadership.
Professional Development
* Support staff in identifying learning needs.
* Facilitate CPD and mentor development.
* Maintain own HCPC registration and professional growth.
