At an exciting time of growth within the Score Group, we are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support our global activities. Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability of the network and hybrid server infrastructure within the Score Group.
This role requires a high level of technical knowledge and experience to lead projects and troubleshoot issues.
We would welcome applications for this role from those who can work from our Headquarters in Peterhead, Scotland or from those who prefer to work on a Hybrid basis, where travel to our office would be required on an agreed frequency.
Responsibilities
* The ability to implement, administer, maintain and support a wide range of IT Infrastructure technologies that includes (but isn’t limited to):
* Networking (firewall, switch and wireless)
* VMWare
* Windows Server (including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP)
* M365
* Implementation and troubleshooting of workloads across Azure
* Collaboration with other teams within IT, and within the business as a whole
* Provide an escalation path for the internal service desk team.
* Provide input into how systems can be implemented and/or improved
* Compliance with internal controls, processes and policy while ensuring security is always maintained.
* Documentation creation and updates
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 5 years experience in a technical role
* Relevant IT certifications would be beneficial
* A strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies:
* Azure (specifically IaaS)
* Windows Server
* M365 (including Sharepoint, OneDrive, Exchange)
* Virtualization knowledge (specifically VMWare)
* A knowledge of Networking (switches and firewalls)
* Meraki experience would be beneficial
* Fortinet firewall knowledge would be an advantage
Behaviors and Skills
* A strong security focused mindset, with an understanding of the requirements of ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and other compliance requirements
* The ability to work as part of a team and independently with the confidence to make and influence decisions.
* The ability to work on and prioritise multiple tasks
* A willingness to share knowledge with colleagues and mentor junior members of the team
* Documentation and communication skills
* Relevant certifications would be beneficial
* Ability and willingness to travel internationally
