Production Engineer
Water Technologies- ELGA LabWater, a leading provider of laboratory water purification systems, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Engineer to join our team. With manufacturing facilities in both the UK and China, we deliver high-quality solutions to a global customer base.
This role will be integral to the handover of projects from the Engineering and Industrialisation department to the manufacturing environment and support the manufacturing operations and ensure smooth transitions from engineering design to production.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Handover: Facilitate effective handover from Engineering and Industrialisation to manufacturing.
* Tooling and Fixtures Development: Design, identify and produce tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
* Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for efficient manufacturing.
* Manufacturing Support: Provide engineering support for plant equipment.
* Special Projects: Assist with sourcing and installation of new equipment, system design, fabrication and assembly.
* Cost Saving Initiatives: Identify areas for cost-saving and implement efficiency strategies.
* Quality Assurance: Investigate and resolve quality issues.
* Team Coordination: Coordinate tasks, monitor progress, uphold quality, and mentor junior team members.
Key Requirements
* Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Experience: Proven experience in a production engineering environment, understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling design.
* Skills:
o Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
o Excellent written and verbal communication.
o Collaborative across cross‑functional teams.
o Knowledge of manufacturing systems, machinery and quality control.
o Experience in cost optimisation and identifying efficiencies.
