We are dedicated to delivering high‑quality care through evidence‑based behaviour and sleep interventions. As a Band 6 Learning Disability Nurse, you will be on the front lines of transformative care, working within one of the Cheshire bases in Macclesfield or Crewe.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage a defined caseload of 0‑18 year olds with Severe Learning Disabilities and behaviours that challenge.
* Perform choice and detailed clinical assessments, deriving formulations and intervention plans negotiated with clients, parents, or carers.
* Conduct risk assessments.
* Evaluate the outcomes of interventions using outcome measurement tools, adjusting plans accordingly.
* Plan, deliver, and evaluate behavioural interventions.

* Salary: £38,682 to £46,580 a year (pro‑rated)
* Contract: Fixed term – 12 months
* Working pattern: Part‑time

* Preparation: New starters commence on a fixed start date each month, with up to three weeks of induction training under the P2C programme.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* Registered Nurse – Learning Disability / Mental Health
* Experience working with children with Severe Learning Disabilities, challenging behaviour, and/or mental health problems.
* Experience in a behavioural service and positive behaviour support models.
* Experience delivering training, parenting courses, and presentations.
* Multi‑agency and professional working experience.
* Clinical supervision of staff.
* Positive attitude towards young people with Learning Disabilities.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, relevant legislation, and current best practice.
* Strong record‑keeping and ability to chair meetings.
* Capacity to develop and deliver training to other professionals and services.
Desirable
* Specialist Practitioner or Mentorship role.
* Relevant degree or behaviour/mental health qualification.
* Experience in service development, quality initiatives, and CAMHS working.
