We are urgently recruiting for freelance interpreters to work within various settings such as the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations.

* Telephone Interpreters
* Translators
Please note this is a self-employed position
The Job
Interpreting involves listening to, understanding, and accurately reproducing speech from the source language into the target language.
You will:
* Interpret for people using legal, health, and local government services
* Check the understanding of non-English speakers after each sentence
* Perform conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
* Handle highly confidential information
* Liaise between the service user and the service provider
Requirements
* Fluent in English and at least one other language
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Age 21 or over
* Formal qualifications such as:
o Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
o Community Interpreting
o NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration (advantageous)
o Degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages
o Other interpreting-related qualifications
* Flexible working hours
* Ability to work from home
* Self-employment status
* Ongoing support and professional development
