Job title: Head of First Team Kit
Department: Senior Kit Department
Based at: Blackburn Rovers Senior Training Centre, Brockhall Village, Old Langho, Blackburn, BB6 8FA. Flexibility regrading location is required.
Reports to: Head of Football Operations
Responsible for: Senior Kit Department
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours necessary for the performance of duties including regular evening and weekend work.
Contractual Status: Permanent
Job purpose
To manage and oversee a professional service in the provision of kit and equipment to all First Team and coaching staff at the Senior Training Centre.
Duties and responsibilities
* To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all staff and players, promoting their well‑being whilst maintaining professional boundaries;
* To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the kit department;
* To oversee and audit equipment on a day‑to‑day basis;
* To organise and pack the necessary kit and equipment for all matches, daily training and training camp tours;
* To ensure all kit department equipment and machinery is kept and maintained to the highest standard;
* To repair and clean boots when necessary;
* Ensure Kit department presence at all matchdays;
* To arrange and organise cover for the Kit Department when required;
* Maintain a stock check and ensure all relevant kit is recorded accurately on a regular basis;
* To maintain confidentiality at all times;
* To liaise with the Director of Football and Head Coach on a regular basis to ensure all deadlines for kit use are met; and
* Any other duties as reasonably assigned by the Director of Football.

Knowledge required
* Good knowledge and direction to local and national football and training grounds;
* Experience of working in a kit/equipment role within professional football;
* Safeguarding of young children;
* Good knowledge up to date health and safety legislation.
Qualifications required
* Valid UK Driving Licence;
* Previous experience of working within a professional sporting environment.
