Role: Service Manager (Core Systems) - Policing Location: Hybrid (Gloucestershire a few days each month and WFH) Salary : £54,879 Excellent pensions and other Employee Benefits Key Skills: Service Manager, ITIL, Project Management, Business Systems / Applications management Why Apply: This is an interesting, newly created role to manage the embedding of the new Core Applications environment services and the subsequent effective management of the services in a Policing setting. The Role: Support the embedding of the new Core Systems / Applications environment and all the Applications integrations and inter-dependencies. Then be accountable for ensuring stability and availability of the Applications as they deliver critical information services in a fast paced, policing environment. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Strong Service Management / ITIL skills and experience. Able to demonstrate experience of taking ownership for the delivery of critical services / systems availability. Experience of being responsible for availability of Business Applications environments and ideally, experience of embedding new Business Application environments would be highly advantageous Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Strong GDPR / DP awareness Strong project management skills Any experience in either policing or Government environments in a similar role would be beneficial but not essential. Willingness to work from the Gloucester office as and when required.
