Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit an excellent Teaching Assistant to work within a fantastic secondary school in the Liverpool area!
The strongest applicant will have confidence in Mathematics, English and a subject of their choice whilst also working well with children.
Teaching Assistant
* Location – L25
* Type of work – Long Term
* Start date – 22 nd April 2025
* Contract type – Long-term Temporary
* Full time/part time – Full time
* Pay: Paid to scale
* Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assisting with lessons: Helping to prepare materials, setting up equipment, and supporting students during activities.
* Behaviour management: Helping to maintain a positive learning environment by addressing behavioural issues and encouraging good behaviour.
* Marking and assessment: Assisting with the marking of students’ work and recording grades.
* Record keeping: Maintaining records of students’ progress and any other relevant documentation.
* Providing emotional support: Offering guidance and support to students who may be dealing with personal issues or stress.
* Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students’ overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent (Desirable)
* Previous experience working with young people.
* Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
* Provide two professional references.
