We are currently seeking a Principal Civil / Structural Engineer working in the railway sector for a small and growing consultancy with an office in the suburbs of London.
Access Talent Group are currently on the hunt for a Principal Civil and Structural Engineer working in the railway sector. This consultancy is small and developing, providing a principal autonomous approach to make a difference in their projects and lead the business from the front. They are rapidly growing their portfolio of clients, including some main Tier one contractors working on exciting new and renewal railway projects. You will be involved in Lineside Civils and Structures, platform extensions, station refurbishments, depot buildings and structures, substation design, HV cable route design, renewables schemes, and embankment and cutting works. As a principal, you will also have the opportunity to get involved with business development and pitching to new and existing clients to further develop the consultancy.
Experience:
* Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
* 8 years experience with design and design consultancy practice
* Experience in Railway, Energy, or Infrastructure
* Experience managing a team of engineers and technicians
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with railway and engineering software – CAD and Microstation
* Great health and safety experience, maintaining CDM compliance
* Masters degree in a relevant discipline
* Chartered or near chartered with the ICE and ISTRUCtE
* Ability to manage a project financially
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
37.5 hours a week
