Policy analysis. The successful candidate will support a range of exciting and innovative projects within our Land team. You will work alongside our project managers and technical experts to provide high-quality support for the delivery of projects and programmes. The role will include research, data analysis, report writing, organising events, drafting communications, helpline support (phone and email), and supporting the preparation of proposals responding to our clients' needs. Managing your time across several projects and being responsible for the quality of your work, liaising with other consultants to incorporate your contribution into wider project outputs. Have, or be keen to develop, an understanding or expertise in land management, regulatory, or environmental systems and their interactions with farming, food, and the environment.
Key Competencies and Experience
* A Bachelor's (2.1 or above) in a scientific subject.
* An interest in agricultural and environmental policy.
* Understanding of the interactions between land management and the environment, particularly climate, air quality, biodiversity, water, and soil.
* High accuracy with strong attention to detail and the ability to scrutinise data.
* Personal drive and determination to succeed, self-motivated, and able to contribute positively to the team.
* Strong communication skills (both written and oral), and confidence in providing helpline support by telephone.
* Interest and awareness of key environmental, biodiversity, and climate change policies and issues.
