Senior Practitioner - Family Safeguarding
All about the Role
Tight teams, manageable caseloads, and life-changing results motivate us each day.
We believe in achieving better outcomes for children and young people, alongside job satisfaction for our dedicated social workers.
Do you believe in the Family Safeguarding approach, working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver positive results and significantly better outcomes for vulnerable children?
As a Senior Practitioner, you will manage complex caseloads involving Children in Need, Child Protection, and court cases.
We want you to feel empowered to make important decisions, using your creativity to solve challenging situations with innovative solutions.
Would easy access to co-located teams and services make collaborative work easier? Our Peterborough office offers access to Housing, Children with Disabilities, Adult Social Care, Legal, and other teams, all within a purpose-built office with river and green space views, centrally located near main transport links.
All about our Team
In 2023, Peterborough's Children's Services received an OFSTED rating of 'inadequate', but it was noted that children in need of protection and those with complex needs receive appropriate support from the family safeguarding teams. Risks and needs are identified, and interventions are provided at the right level.
We aim to improve and expand the Family Safeguarding team by maintaining manageable caseloads and recruiting additional team members.
