Speciality: Leads and manages a team of professional staff to ensure effective service delivery of the Structures section in line with the Council’s policies, relevant legislation, codes of practice and contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
* Act as lead officer for all structural related matters for the authority.
* Manage and oversee day‑to‑day service delivery in relation to structural inspections, assessments, monitoring and maintenance of Council assets such as bridges, retaining walls, pedestrian subways, disused coal tips and reservoirs.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, contractual requirements and Council policy.
* Provide evidence of all qualifications specified as essential.
* Demonstrate ability to speak Welsh (desirable).
