Tradewind seeks a SEN Support Worker to join a specialist education setting in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. This role is ideal for somebody who is committed to inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs.
The school caters for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism and complex learning difficulties. It offers a structured, nurturing environment with small class sizes, specialist resources and a multidisciplinary approach. Staff work closely together to support holistic development.
As a SEN Support Worker, you will work alongside teachers and therapists to support pupils both academically and emotionally.
Key Duties
Provide 1:1 and small-group support
Assist with personalised learning plans
Support communication, social interaction and independence
Help manage behaviour using positive strategies
Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
Essential Skills
Experience working with children or young people with SEN
Patience, empathy and resilience
Ability to work as part of a team
Willingness to support personal care where required
